What's the opposite of "epic"?...Anyway, any very-short story writers out there might be interested in this, or even any of you Twitteratti:
ROPES, an anthology brought out every year by the NUI Galway MA in Literature & Publishing class, is looking for submissions of stories under 140 characters long (that's characters, not words).
ROPES consistently produce high-quality publications, with lots of variation from year to year. This year's theme is "links" (but I don't think every submission has to have a very obvious "links" theme). Deadline is 12 March, so get movin'.
All proceeds go to LauraLynn House, Ireland's first children's hospice.
