I'm still wondering how we can get poetry out there a bit more, and video seems to be the ideal form at the moment. So, with the help of young Jack Barnett, I put together some shots to go with my poem "Black and White", borrowing Satie's "Gymnopedies" piano tune for the background.
The poem is about how my parents told me, as a child, that some films on the TV were black and white because they were old films from years ago, and so I believed the whole world was black and white until it became colour one day.
It's only a minute long. I hope you like it. Please share with anyone you think might be interested in this kind of thing - or even with anyone who might not normally be interested in poetry. Maybe someone will realise there's some appeal in this poetry stuff.
