This week, the Cúirt International Festival of Literature takes place in Galway. There's readings, classes, interviews, plays, book launches and many more events in what always proves to be a fantastic week every April. Some of the writers that caught my eye this year are Dermot Healy and Simon Armitage, the latter teaching a class which I'll be attending. There's also a discussion on publishing, which I look forward to. Some seasoned publishers will be speaking at it, including Jessie Lendennie of Salmon Poetry and Neil Astley of Bloodaxe Books. Check out the programme for yourselves (link below). It's one of the highlights of the year for me. Just one of the reasons I love Galway.
